Air Conditioning

Air Conditioning Repair Service

The main components of the air conditioning system are the compressor, condenser, receiver, expansion valve, and evaporator. The compressor drives the process by pushing a high density gas through the condenser, resulting in a phase change to a high density liquid. The liquid is then moved through the expansion valve, creating a low pressure liquid. This liquid then flows to the evaporator and cools the evaporator walls as it becomes a liquid. The blower motor then pushes air through the evaporator to the car dashboard, removing heat from the cabin.

All of the components listed above are necessary to your AC running properly and they should be checked as regularly as you experience issues with you AC. If air conditioning problems are handled early you are unlikely to experience unnecessary costs and time in repairing a damaged system from exposure to an excess of moisture.

How do you know if you need a repair?
  • Air conditioning isn’t as cool as it used be.
  • Air conditioning starts out cool but then gets warm again.
  • There is a smelly odor coming from your vents when you have the AC on.
What may cause the problem and how can you prevent it?
  • Problems usually occur overtime as rubber seals and hoses lose their ability to lock out moisture and contain Freon. Moisture is the last thing you want to be dealing with in your AC system. As moisture mixes with the refrigerant it creates a corrosive acid which can destroy the whole AC system, so it is crucial to have your AC serviced as soon as you notice any issues.
